What I am about to share with you Chochachos is the only poem that I have ever wrote that I liked enough to remember. The odd story behind this poem that I diddled out in about five minutes or so. It was one of those times where everything just clicks and you're on a roll.
There's this cat I know
A real cool cat.
Sleek fur, bright eyed, bushy tailed
She weaves in, out, and around my heart
Her wet nose dabs my soul derailed.
Purr, she says as she slips into the land of cool
the land of coy
the land of bliss
She brings back a present. A little bit of catnip
rolled into a bun, sealed with a kiss.
Damn, I say as I sniff that sweet, funky techicolor.
Her scent let's me know there can never be another lover.
There's a twinkle in her eye as she jumps the night sky.
The last I see are pink padded feet.
And it's a real shame for me that it's going to be
another five weeks before I'm in heat.
