Post Apocalyptic Wasteland
« on: September 25, 2008, 06:23:16 AM »
Scattered pages in the air
The sky’s upside down
The king’s wearing no clothes
Except his treasured crown

Pins and needles cover the floor
Shattered glass blankets the ground
Tiptoeing on broken heels
Avoiding the inaudible sound

There’s no one to comfort you
There’s no one to hold your hand
There’s no one to tell you the truth
In this post apocalyptic wasteland

It’s always winter now
At your final destination
Who’dve thought this was the result
Of total assimilation

Hands in invisible pockets
Shivering in the heat
Walking on unsettled asphalt
Down the avenue to your street

There’s no one to comfort you
There’s no one to hold your hand
There’s no one to tell you the truth
In this post apocalyptic wasteland

The world as we know it
Melted beneath our shoes
Life, Death, or Eternity
Why should we be the ones to choose

We’re forced to start from scratch
On our yellow legal pad
Completely ignoring the past, present
Or future dreams we had

There’s no one to comfort you
There’s no one to hold your hand
There's no one to tell you the truth
In this post apocalyptic wasteland

And it's really not as dreary as it sounds.  It's got layers.  The music will really emphasize that when I can figure out what chord pattern I want to use.  Anyhow... enjoy
I want a white bread life
Just something ignorant and plain
