Also, we'd need at least one of the earlier versions - I recall 4-28-94 being quite good (and sounding excellent).

Ooh, I know I'm late, but I love this idea!

3/16/08 is one of my favorites (largely because I was there!). It has Christmas, Pale Blue Eyes, and It's Alright alts and clocks in around 17 minutes.

I also like Dayton 4/21/03; it has Postcard from 15 alts.

And finally, I don't know the date, but I like the version with Chelsea alts.

You ain't late , your early!... I reckon this one will run a while ;).  Btw, can we have a little more detail please in the posts, such as venues as well as dates in order to endevour to chase this stuff down!, and a 17 minute versions seems outrageously fantastic to me...

Elisabeth generally seems to have grown into one of the longer songs on the setlists, any chance that we can really get behind this, set a precedent and make it a TRIPLE cd, it seems to me that this epic song is worth every second of exposure.. or am i just being greedy?. :hide:

Ultimate Round Here was 4cds so I don't think 3 is aggressive... Especially with some long versions floating around out there. It would be Graham's call but it would probably be dicated by how many great versions deserve to be on there.

I was thinking today, (a rare occurance I know!) whilst I was in the gym jogging and watching the New Amsterdam Concert on my ipod touch, I know I can't have the New Amsterdam version as its been commercially released, so how about having the upbeat Pinkpop 2003 version?, or maybe even better still how's about this one... do a three disc audio and a "bonus" single dvd and the Pink Pop 2003 could go on that! ;) .

Anyone got nominations for video versions too?, it seems to me to be a song that is under represented on video btw, or is that just me?.

Finally one last point/query, the New Amstedram video that I have, was made into a special for Dutch tv (I assume) filmed I reckon over the two or three nights, Goodnight Elisabeth wasn't included on the 52 minute special. Does any one have any Elisabeth video from that or wasn't it filmed at all?.

Really like Elizabeth anytime, anywhere, but I am kinda partial to the 9-2-2001 Virginia Beach show version.

John the video you mention was not a special for dutch TV.The band played three nights in the Heineken Music Hall and had it filmed with the intention of releasing it as an official DVD.Adam didn't like the end result so he didn't want it released. However it was broadcasted on HD net i believe and that's how it got in circulation. As far as i know no other videos of these shows have turned up but someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Well that means most of your choices wont make it :chuckle: Seriously I have
over 70 GE's on my pc at this moment & still have to add 2004 onward, alot have the xmas alt in different guises I think 2 disc is maybe more realistic, for quality and diversity.
