not the best set list in the world , all the great Crows songs and their still playing Mercy , Friend of the Devil and Return of the Grievous Angel , and i could do without hearing RMID or Washington Square  , but then perhaps its an easy set for Adam to sing following his illness

A few great songs but in general not the most exciting setlist.

I like that setlist in general, although fairly similar to what they were playing last fall.

What would excite people?

Unfortunately for some, AD plays what he wants to play.. lol

He actually tweeted about how much he loved that set list too..

Being that it was my first time seeing Counting Crows live. I loved it. I love all of their songs and to me it wouldn't matter what they played.

id like to see the band rock a little more , they have three great guitarists and a rocking drummer i just wish some shows they would let loose , far too many shows are acoustic and laid back these days , i love the Crows mellow moments but not a whole set of them , would at least be nice to end shows with a rocking encore of Murder of One rather than Holiday in Spain

having said that i have never seen a Crows show i didnt enjoy , the only ones which werent so good were the Hard Candy shows when Jim first joined and i saw three shows on three different nights with the same set list played in the same way

Personally i've heard Omaha,December and Holiday in Spain too many times also less of the "old" covers would be fine by me..
They have so many other great songs to pick from it just feels like a shame some get played so little.I also agree with Andy, rock get's me excited.
But the most important thing is that Adam loves the songs he plays it's the best garanty for a good show.
When i see them live i'm sure i will be excited about every song they play even the ones i just mentioned ;)

I can live with HIS.. "Long December" could use a break here and then though. "Omaha.." depends. I'm usually alright with that one too.

I'd love for them to play a really obscure released song, or something they've never played live.

Songs that were recorded during album sessions but showed up elsewhere would be ideal.

Sessions, There Goes Everything, Goin' Down to New York Town, Sunday Morning LA, BIABSN.  Any of those would be incredible.  I absolutely love each of those tunes.  It's a shame they've never played any of them live, to my knowledge, at least.

It doesn't fit together properly, in album running order live, like AAEA does. prefer Andy's suggestion of Murder Of One as encore
...And My Minds In A State!
