This is the 1st new song of 2015 to hit me like a ton of bricks. I am 5 songs into the new album 'What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World' and it's really good. Someone on Youtube said they didn't think anyone could compete with Counting Crows. Someone else said it reminded them of Pink Moon by Nick Drake. This is my kind of Folk Song. Like Adam Duritz Colin Meloy is good with words and tells a beautiful story in this song. It's poetry.

I like the Decemberists, but this song sound too much like Pink Moon for me to be able to enjoy it.

ITA however the rest of the album does not. It's a really good album.
