Bleachers- Strange Desire
« on: January 13, 2015, 09:28:41 PM »
Many of you may have seen this record pop up on a lot of "2014 Best Albums of the Year" lists.. and although I didn't fully check this one out until recently, it's certainly incredible. It may not be anyone here's cup of tea.. but this album is an awesome blend of the 80s and 2014. It has New Jersey undertones, nostalgic feels, and vocals reminiscent of Springsteen at times, mixed with cool modern usage of loops, synths, extremely catchy hooks, etc.. it's pop done the right way.

I'm extermely diverse musically so this may not appeal to many of you fellow CC fans, but I figure why not spread more music?!

There's a full stream of the album here on YouTube.. though not the best (volume is up and down at points..) so if you have Spotify or Rdio, etc.. that might be a better bet if you wanna check it out.

I would not be running to the store to pick up this album. Not my cup of tea. however it did have me tapping my feet. It was pretty good. I've heard worse.

I love the Bleachers album ! My kids gave me this record. Jack is a genius. I am not a huge Fun. fan, I prefer Bleachers. This is the 2nd best CD of the year right next to our beloved Counting Crows
